ABOUT CHINA ROSE
China Rose was a one-woman business started by
Connie Li. Initially an idea she created in the early years of her working
life during the mid '90s, Connie
progressively
developed the concepts which she works with today. In the early
part of the new millennium, China Rose came into fruition.
Connie's dedication and passion for her work was
first recognised and rewarded when she was named Student of the Year at Tresham
Institute in Northamptonshire, where she trained in Hairdressing and Beauty
Therapy. After qualifying in 1995, her working career began.
Starting as an independent therapist she then became a
member of an invincible team at Ashleigh Clinic, Leicester where she gained
invaluable experience and discovered her interest in holistic treatments.
She
progressed onto the original team responsible for starting up the Spa at Chancery
Court,
an award winning spa in a five star hotel in London, where she was able to
fulfill her desire to further her knowledge and skills in complementary
therapies. Between 2003-2005 she was a hands on manager in a pressured high street salon
environment at Apricot Health Studio in Radlett, Hertfordshire.
Over fifteen years spent in
different establishments have led to experience and appreciation of varying
working environments, practices and clientele. More importantly, Connie
has been able to develop on areas of particular interest to herself.
These include encouraging natural forms of health and beauty care
with the belief that prevention is better than cure and the integration of
natural therapies with 'conventional' health care. Also recognised is the
importance of keeping current with developments of technological advances in the
health and beauty industry so a truly holistic approach is used to suit an
individual's needs.
As well as holding world recognised IHBC qualifications in Beauty
Therapy, Connie has continued
to quench her thirst for knowledge by studying related topics and gaining
qualifications in Aromatherapy, Baby Massage Instruction, Thermal Auricular Therapy, Reflexology,
Indian Champissage, Manual Lymphatic Drainage
Massage, Hairdressing, Feng Shui and Crystal Therapy. More modern
treatments include Eyelash Extensions (Connie was one of, if not the
first to introduce this in Harpenden), Advanced Cosmetic Procedures and
Shellac Nails.
Connie has been trained in and used a wide range of products including Clarins, Jessica Nails, E’spa,
La Prairie,
Bio-Sculpture Nail System, Environ, Guinot, Decleor, Mandel, St Tropez, Nailtiques,
Phytomer, Ionithermie, Mary Cohr, Transion, Depegei, Murad, Transdermal
Electrolysis, Cezanne Non-Surgical Face Lift, Advanced Electrolysis, 3D
Lashes, MD Formulations, Shellac and REN facials.
Connie is a member of the professional body the Federation of Holistic
Therapists. For more information on the federation's dedication to the the work of the therapists

After having her two children, Connie reduced her

appointment times again in the near future.

ABOUT THE TREATMENTS AND PRODUCTS
Most of the treatment protocols on offer have been developed
by Connie herself. From her experience of conventional and
advanced beauty and
holistic therapy methods, she has incorporated techniques to encapsulate
her style of work - natural, effective, good value with attention to detail and
focus on quality of service. Careful research has been carried out
in order to find product ranges which marry well with the
treatments. These are products that Connie believes in and hopes
that you, the client will too.
Courses of treatments are available with a 10%
discount on three treatments or receiving six treatments on courses of
five.
Bridal parties are entitled to a 15% discount on
five or more treatments booked three months prior to the wedding.
Treatment of juniors (under sixteen years of age)
is limited to the discretion of the therapist and may require the signed
consent or presence of an adult.
Whilst much care is taken to offer services of the
highest standard possible, it would be appreciated if clients provided
information of any conditions that may be detrimental to the effects of
the treatments.
